Seriously, fuck off. You can't change my mind in anyway for any efficiencies it brings. What a God damn headache and nightmare for anyone trying to update your model. Literally the worst. I don't need you to name the Property Name that is on the Assumptions page as "Property Name". Wasting my time trying to locate your 5000 dumb ass cell names in Name Manager.

They're trying to be coders so hard. Because if you *don't* clearly label your variables when coding you are a psychopath.
I had a junior who once failed a modelling test because the interviewer told him "You didn't use named ranges." Think it was some infra group, so bizarre.

Literally the worst modeling policy ever, makes it an absolute fucking nightmare to audit for anyone who isn't already intimately familiar with the model. Should be removed from excel completely.

I use named cells to separate sections in models with shitloads of tabs so I don't have to spend 2 minutes spamming ctrl pgdn

the only names in an excel should be FX rate, unit changes. THAT'S IT.

I love defining thousands and millions to save time with converting units and also factset auto colour is correct when these are named, otherwise they turn red, which is a pet peeve
